Travel Tips

RESERVATIONS

Make your reservations and buy your ticket early. Seats can be at a premium, particularly at peak periods so you should also reconfirm your travel plans as early as possible.

CHECK-IN

Be at the airport to allow at least 1.5 hours for check-in, before flight departure.

DEPARTUTE TAX/IMMIGRATION

Most Caribbean Islands require the payment of departure tax at the point of departure at the respective airport. For confirmation of this amount, please check with the Airline or your Travel Agency. Remember to keep the passenger copy of your immigration form with you on your arrival, as you will need this when leaving the island.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE/HAND BAGGAGE

Most Airlines have a maximum baggage allowance of 20 kgs. Luggage carried in excess of this amount is subject to excess baggage charges. Remember to label your luggage clearly with your name, address, and telephone number. For extra comfort, place your hand baggage in the overhead bins or under the seat in front of you. When removing said hand luggage, be extra careful as items may shift during flight.

ELECTICAL EQUIPMENT

The use of portable telephones, remote controlled toys, and gadgets are prohibited on board aircrafts. Radios, cassette players, electronic games, laptop computers, calculators, CD players, televisions, video cameras are not to be used during take-off, landing or when the seatbelt sign is switched on. At any other time, permission must be obtained from the Captain prior to their use. Portable telephones must be switched off, not left in stand-by mode.

REFRESHMENTS

Most Airlines offer in-flight bar services that provide soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. For prices, please check for the bar tariffs in the current issues of the Airline's in-flight magazine or request said information from an attendant.

FOR YOUR COMFORT

Most seats are adjustable and the control is located on the side arm of your seat. Above your seat, you will find the stewardess Call Button, should you require any assistance. For your safety, you should keep your seatbelt fastened once you are seated.

SECURITY

Never leave your luggage lying around unattended. Also, do not accept packages from other individuals.
