Basseterre, St. Kitts - Cricket enthusiasts from across the Federation will get the chance to see the islands’ best Cricketers from St. Kitts and Nevis in action, on Saturday 13th September 2008, at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium.
The TDC Group of Companies collaborated with the Silver Jubilee Committee with responsibilities for the Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition, and organized a 25/25 friendly encounter, the first of its kind to be played in the Federation.
On Monday 8th September 2008, a Sponsorship Package valued at over twelve thousand dollars (EC$12,000) was presented to Dr. Jerome Thomas, Chairman of the Agriculture Exhibition, at a Media Briefing held at Government Headquarters on Church Street.
According to Mrs. Jonelle Rawlins-Drew, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager, “we readily accepted an invitation from the Silver Jubilee Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition Committee to host an Inter-island Cricket Match to further complement the series of activities organized to celebrate our country’s Independence.”
She further added, “TDC’s involvement is evidence of the Company’s willingness to support the advancement of Cricket against the backdrop of the Nation’s Silver Anniversary.”
The Cricket match starts at 11 a.m. and is another one of the several Sporting disciplines that the firm continues to endorse, along with Track and Field, Football, Golf, and Tennis.
